Necessary Qualities of Elevator Ropes

1. Must be of superior quality to withstand continuous bending fatigue.
2. The decrease ratio of the rope diameter must be small when under load tension.
3. The creep while the elevator is in operation must be small.
4. The rope grease used must be such that the grease will not be discharged during operation, that it will not reduce the driving power of the sheave, that it completely fulfills its function as a rust-proofing and lubricating agent.
